Land of all dreams and excesses, the United States offers a geographical and human diversity that goes hand in hand with the size of its territory. The USA is a country of 50 states covering a vast swathe of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean. An incredible country with continental dimensions - the third largest country in the world - and spectacular biodiversity, it is bathed by the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, with deserts, endless plains, enchanting beaches, lush forests and rugged mountains, as well as cultural, gastronomic, political and religious domains.

The main cities on the Atlantic coast are New York, the global financial and cultural center, and the capital, Washington, DC. Chicago, a metropolis in the Midwest, is known for its important architecture, while Los Angeles with a deep Latin vein, on the West Coast, is famous for Hollywood film productions. From the frenetic pace of the big, ever-expanding metropolises to the charm of the more conservative cities, from the incredible wealth of antique, classical and impressionist collections to the most avant-garde artistic creations; from the aridity of the deserts and endless canyons to the softness of the Californian coasts; from the vastness of the plains to the majestic Niagara Falls.
