Malta is an archipelago located between Sicily and the coast of North Africa (Tunisia) and has occupied a strategic position in the centre of the Mediterranean basin for over 7,000 years.

It is made up of the islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino, which are inhabited and full of natural beauty, plus two uninhabited islands (Filfla and Cominotto). Despite being one of the smallest countries in Europe, with only 316 square kilometres and approximately 500,000 inhabitants, it has a number of natural treasures and an enviable historical heritage.

It has managed to preserve the beauty of its landscapes intact, and in addition to the idyllic beaches and natural pools with crystal blue waters, it has an extraordinary cultural and historical heritage to offer: megalithic temples, medieval citadels, Norman cathedrals and Baroque palaces. Not forgetting Valletta, once the residence and fortress of the Knights of the Order of St John, today the vibrant capital of the archipelago, the charming city of Mdina or the mythical island of Gozo.
